I'm giving myself the reight of refusal if I really object to reading any particular book, but I'm hoping that this scheme will get me reading books I wouldn't have gone for otherwise. Your plan seems like an excellent one too!

What a wonderful plan. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to use a random number generator - I have too many heftly tomes and books that need just the right moment - but I have picked out a hundred from my own TBR to read or ditch asap.

Needs must, it seems. Hopefully this will widen my reading selections a bit, rather than just letting me be lazy and only pick up the books that I can see. Good luck with your reading too.

Being away at university isn't really condusive to TBR pile reading, is it? Even though my books are all in one house now, I'm still not convinced I'll be able to find them all; I'll just have to hope that any books that do come up are easy ones to locate. Good luck with your reading and your studies!

You're very welcome! It seemed like a good way of varying my reading by chance rather than choice. I'll definitely keep an eye on what you come across and I hope we both discover some great new books.

Oooh, I think the TBR Lucky Dip idea is fantastic! I already have my TBR list on my blog so all I have to do is add numbers and I'm ready to go...I'm going to go do that right now! Thanks for the great idea and I'll visit often to see what your lucky dip brings you.

Love the "TBR Lucky Dip" idea as well. If I had access to my entire TBR pile while I am university, I would totally join you. I'm also doing the Victorian Literature Challenge, but those I can read on ny iPad. Good luck with your endeavors!

I love the "TBR Lucky Dip" idea! I'm planning to read much more from my stacks this year although I haven't resorted to a random number generator (yet). Good luck!
